General Air Cargo

Based on 5 decades or relevant experience, SACO has a full set of handling equipment available to configure any solution that may be required. This includes storage and conveyor decks, trucks docks, dolly docks, workstations, scissor lifts, ULD hoists, (elevating) transfer vehicles (E)TV's, pallet masters/ slave pallets, depending on the required capacity. ULD storage systems can be based on ETV's or on the Lift & Run principle incorporating multiple TV's and hoists.

Corporate Background

SACO is fully owned by and incorporated into Smulders Group based in The Netherlands. Smulders Group has its origin in 1996 and has evolved into an international organisation with multiple subsidiaries. Cargo Terminal IT Systems

The SACO cargo terminal IT system includes a scalable and modular software package designed to control all the operations of a modern air cargo handling terminal, including machine automation (in co-ordination with PLCs), data processing and communication with host computer(s).

It is capable of varying levels of operation. In its simplest from it is an inventory control tool and a flight staging tool with or without machine automation. It manages ULD and loose freight inventory, maintains a record of where everything is stored (manual locations, floor, shelves, conveyors) and directs the operations via step-by-step instructions throught all warehouse operations.

In its expanded from, it is a true automated AWB handling system. The operator receives, break down, stores, retrieves and builds up AWBs. AWB requests are transleted into unique ULDs, pallets, rollboxes, manual locations; it directs all underlying machinery to perfom all required moves (stores, retrieves, location changes) automatically.
